The QTI Group is partnering with a leading company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of commercial cabinetry for chain retail. With a dedication to innovation and precision, our client is recognized for delivering high-quality products and solutions to their clients. As they continue to grow, we are recruiting a talented CAD Designer to join their team in Middleton, WI.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Fusion360, etc.) to create accurate and detailed models and drawings.
• Provide support in the development of products and prototypes, collaborating closely with engineers and other team members.
• Perform file conversions, set-up, and maintenance to ensure efficient workflow and organization.
• Assist in materials selection and understanding manufacturing processes to optimize designs for production.
• Demonstrate a high level of initiative in problem-solving and identifying areas for improvement.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, visitors, and vendors, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in engineering technology or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in materials selection, manufacturing processes, and computer-aided design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Fusion360, and other 3D modeling software.
• Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to translate concepts into accurate models and drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and interface with external stakeholders.
• Proven track record of problem-solving and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
