Salary: $13.00/HR

The Peters Township Public Library is seeking to fill the part-time position of Library Assistant.

This position will:

• Provide excellent customer service to patrons at the Circulation and Reference Desks
• Check library materials in and out, place holds, create new library cards, and renew materials
• Assist patrons with computers, printing and copying, study rooms, and other library services
• Answer reference questions in-person and via the phone

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Daylight, evening, and weekend available is required – candidates with schedule flexibility will be given preference
• PA State Police criminal history check, PA Child Abuse clearances, FBI fingerprints

Compensation and Scheduling:

• Starting pay $13.00 per hour
• 2 regularly scheduled weekday shifts
• 2 Saturdays per month
• 4 to 8 additional hours per week as needed based on scheduling needs and staff vacations
