About Uplinq

We are an Arizona-based startup building software to automate bookkeeping and tax for small businesses. This wasn’t always our plan. When we started Uplinq, we wanted to help small businesses use their financial data to make timely business decisions, survive loan due diligence, and work with acquirers/investors. We tried solving these challenges directly to no avail and quickly realized they are all symptoms of a bigger problem: bookkeeping is hard, and SMBs hate doing it.

Since then, we’ve been hard at work developing accounting technology for small businesses that is high-quality, real-time, and affordable. Our customers are dentists, restaurant owners, insurance agents, realtors - real people from all walks of life. Some tried to manage their books in QBO themselves and couldn’t keep up. Some paid a CPA firm too much for bookkeeping that only gets updated once a quarter. Some switched from companies like Bench and Pilot looking for better service.

We are a tight-knit team including CPAs, engineers, tax preparers, product designers, and marketers. We support each other, communicate openly, have fun at work, and all believe in Uplinq’s mission to help real people run their businesses better.

About The Role

Uplinq has an opportunity for an energetic, people-oriented recruiter to help grow out most valuable resource, our people. The recruiter is an important relationship builder internally and externally, working with candidates and hiring managers. Your ability to attract talent from a variety of specialities including software engineering, accounting, tax professionals, sales & marketing, and administrative is a must.

Your specialty will be identifying and facilitating hiring and onboarding employees to join for our rapidly growing team. This role serves as a project manager of sorts maintaining a number of open job listings, coordinating interviews and guiding new hires to onboarding completion. You will work primarily with open positions and applicants through Uplinq’s career site and applicant tracking system so experience with this type of software is a plus.

• Has a keen ability to understand applicant qualifications and evaluate their fit during screenings and interviews.
• Excels in communication, able to clearly convey enthusiasm about Uplinq and further interest of talented applicants.
• Has expertise in sourcing and interviewing with knowledge of person-job fit so we have the happiest, most productive employees.
• Appreciates the need to carefully move candidates through various stages of our process, getting qualified candidates through our talent pipeline for all positions as quickly as possible.
• Ensures a best-in-class candidate experience from apply to interview to hire.
• Skilled in Human Resources generally, working with a software company or service company is a plus.
• Possesses robust problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex onboardings and multiple projects efficiently.
• Enjoys working with hiring managers to identify their needs and develop and fill open positions.
• Finds satisfaction in setting and meeting hiring goals based on the talent marketplace and Uplinq’s needs.
• Is eager to drive continuous improvement in Uplinq’s hiring and onboarding processes.
• Preferably has a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, marketing, or related fields.
